Martin J. Golden
January 17, 2012
Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), following the release of Governor Cuomo’s 2012-2013 executive budget, has issued the following statement:
“I am pleased that Governor Cuomo is planning to close the budget gap with no new taxes and fees, while putting forward a number of economic development proposals. He understands the need to keep the burden on New York taxpayers down so that we can allow the economy to grow.
I do have concerns with the scope, cost, and manageability of some of his proposals. I look forward to working with the Governor and my legislative colleagues in the upcoming weeks to review in detail these proposals. Working together we will continue to keep New York moving forward."
