Geneva – Senator Mike Nozzolio is continuing his fight to expand benefits for volunteer firemen so they will be entitled to the same workers compensation coverage as paid fire fighters.  Senator Nozzolio is the sponsor of  legislation (S.4004-A) which achieves equity for all fire fighters - and insures that all firefighters - paid and unpaid - will receive the same protections. 

Senator Nozzolio has been working with Geneva Volunteer Firefighter Matt Foe, who tragically lost his battle with cancer just a few days ago. 

Senator Nozzolio will be attending a benefit in Matt's honor on Sunday, January 15^th at the Geneva Recreation Complex, 666 South Exchange Street. The event, called, "Sweep Away Cancer", will feature a broomball tournament that will run from 4-8pm.
