New York State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) has requested that the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and United States Department of Transportation conduct a comprehensive review and evaluate track conditions throughout the New York metropolitan region following yesterday's tragic train derailment in the Bronx.  Four other derailments have also occurred in the New York metropolitan area this year.
