Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (R-Merrick) recently visited Old Mill Road Elementary School in North Merrick to serve as a guest reader to Mrs. Morash’s kindergarten class.  Senator Fuschillo read to the class as part of Old Mill Road’s annual Community Reading Day.  

            Senator Fuschillo read “House Mouse, Senate Mouse” by Peter and Cheryl Barnes to the students. The story allowed the children to learn in a fun way what Senator Fuschillo’s job is and how laws are made. 

            “I thank Mrs. Morash’s class for allowing me to visit. It was wonderful to see how much they enjoyed the story and their enthusiasm for learning. I really enjoyed my visit,” said Senator Fuschillo.
