State Senator Patty Ritchie met recently with Dr. James Dawson, Chair of the Board of Regents State Aid Committee to discuss the challenges rural schools in Central and Northern New York are facing and make a commitment to work together in an effort to find a solution to ensure both quality educational experiences for students and relief for taxpayers.

The Board of Regents is the top education policy setting agency and Dr. Dawson is regent for the region that includes Jefferson and St Lawrence Counties.
