BRONX, NY – Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) announced that he has secured $1.5 million in state funding that will go towards the construction of a new baseball field at the Throgs Neck Houses. Klein delivered the exciting news to those in attendance at the Throgs Neck Resident Council meeting which took place Thursday evening at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx. I am pleased that Throgs Neck Houses will finally be able to take advantage of a new state-of-the-art ball field, and I’m glad the state was able to play an enormous role in seeing this through. I look forward to the coming day when we throw out the first pitch.”
