Monies to go towards repairs and upgrades to the Town Highway Complex

Senator John Bonacic (R/C/I – Mt. Hope) announces that the Town of Shawangunk has been awarded $75,000 in funding from the State & Municipal Facilities Capital Program. 

Project details call for major repairs to the Town Highway Complex including replacing the building’s siding and roof system. 

“The complex has aged and has numerous deficiencies, and the most pressing are its failing siding system, and major leaks in the roof system,” said Supervisor John Valk. “We thank Senator Bonacic for helping us get the funding to replace these deteriorating areas of the building to create a more energy efficient complex.”

“Our Town Highway workers do a terrific job year after year and I am pleased to help them maintain their building,” said Senator Bonacic.
