(Bronx, NY)- Senator Serrano celebrated the culture and heritage of his home borough while attending Bronx Week events. Bronx Week is an annual week-long commemoration of everything the Bronx has to offer organized by Bronx Borough President Rubén Díaz, Jr. and various local organizations.
Serrano participated in the Arts and Culture reception at the Bronx County Court House. The reception was a showcase of the vivacious arts scene in the Bronx. The reception included the VIP opening of Daniel Hauben's "Bronx Works" exhibit. Hauben is a local Bronx artist.
Serrano also attended the Bronx Walk of Fame street sign unveiling on the Grand Concourse. This year's honorees were music producer Swizz Beatz, actors David Zayas and Rachel Ticotin, NFL Player Willie Colon III and Tony Award Winner Priscilla Lopez.
"Many thanks to Borough President Díaz, Jr. for putting together this celebration of all things Bronx. It is festivities like these that allow all of us Bronxites to show the rest of the city the vibrant culture that we celebrate and experience on a daily basis," said Serrano.
