Senator Golden Writes to Governor Cuomo Regarding Funding to Support New York’s Disabled Community

Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), has sent a letter to Governor Andrew Cuomo regarding current and future financial matters facing the State and its ability to care for our disabled residents.
In his letter, Senator Golden applauds the Governor’s recent appeal of a federal government decision seeking a $1.3 billion refund in Medicaid funding for payments to New York State developmental centers and intermediate care facilities. Senator Golden’s letter also highlights 2013 legislative action that saved funding for the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities. Additionally, Senator Golden offers to work with the Governor to strategize in this area of public health so to maximize resources.
