STATE SENATE TASK FORCE SETS NYC ROUNDTABLE ON HEROIN AND PRESCRIPTION DRUG ABUSE

          Brooklyn – State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn), will join Senator Simcha Felder (D-C, Brooklyn) in co-hosting a New York State Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction on Thursday, May 1, 2014 starting at 9:30 a.m. in the Senate Hearing Room on the 19th Floor at 250 Broadway, Manhattan.

The forum, part of a series of meetings held throughout the State, will solicit input on the rise in the use of heroin and prescription drugs, and develop legislative recommendations for treating and preventing addiction and its consequences.

The roundtable participants, which are listed below, are from a variety of counseling, health and community organizations. Senator Phil Boyle (R-C-I, Suffolk County) is the Task Force Chairman.
