Senator Klein marches in the 39th Annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade

Bronx, NY — State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx Westchester) kicked off Columbus Day festivities in Morris Park on Sunday by sponsoring a pre-parade breakfast at St. Dominic’s R.C. Church.
The state’s second largest celebration of Italian heritage drew thousands of Bronxites to the 39th annual Bronx Columbus Day Parade on Morris Park Avenue, where Senator Klein’s volunteers distributed 4,000 cannolis.
The parade march began on Morris Park Avenue and White Plains Road stretching to Morris Park Avenue and Williamsbridge Road.
Senator Klein joined elected officials including, Mayor Bill de Blasio, Public Advocate Letitia James, New York City Comptroller Scott Stringer, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, Assemblyman Mark Gjonaj and City Councilman James Vacca, along the route.
