Again this school year, I am taking part in the New York State Senate Teachers of Excellence award program. I am asking superintendents, principals, faculty members, and students to nominate an educator, who they feel is deserving of recognition for “Teacher of Excellence” Award. Teachers who are nominated should have a history of going above and beyond to inspire their students, as well as improving the quality of education in their classrooms, through innovative and exceptional teaching.

Nominations need to be returned to my office by April 1st. Once awardees have been selected, each teacher, along with his or her family and school administrators, will be invited to a local award ceremony. For a nomination form, please click on the pdf file that is below.
