(Middletown, NY)-Senator Bonacic is pleased to announce that he has secured $29,000 for the Rape Intervention Services and Education (RISE) Program of Sullivan County. The RISE Program is administered through Catskill Regional Medical Center, and provides an array of services to victims of sexual abuse, as well offering prevention education. RISE also offers confidential individual, family, or couples counseling as well as support groups, and professional training sessions. In addition to education and support services, the program maintains a 24/7 crisis helpline, 845-791-9595, that is staffed by trained volunteers.
“These are critical funds that will go a long way towards helping the Rape Intervention Services and Education Program of Sullivan County provide service and education,” said Bonacic. “By providing these resources in Sullivan County, we can take a step towards one day ending sexual violence, while at the same time empowering victims to seek help when they are attacked.”
“On behalf of Catskill Regional Medical Center I would like to thank Senator John Bonacic for his continued support of the RISE program and the services it provides to the Sullivan County community,” said Gerard Galarneau, CEO of Catskill Regional Medical Center.
