Senator Parker Hosts 8th Annual Job Fair

 Brooklyn, NY – Continuing his efforts to assist constituents of the 21st Senate District, State Senator Kevin Parker, in partnership with Councilman Jumaane D. Williams, hosted his 8th annual Job Fair at Brooklyn College Student Center.  Over 30 organizations hosted tables and serviced more than 200 attendees who received tremendous value from the event.

 “I always welcome the opportunity to assist our constituents in their search for employment and job program opportunities,” Senator Parker said.

 With the help of the event sponsor OBT (Opportunity For A Better Tomorrow), several workshops were convened covering areas such as Interview prep: “Speaking to Your Resume, and Social Media and Job Search: “Creating a Professional Profile on LinkedIn.”  Other participating organization included : NYC Department of Corrections, Camba, Manhattan School Of Technology, Department of Environmental Protection, ID NYC, Home Goods, Preferred Home Care, National Guard, Office Of Citywide Recruitment, Office Of Workforce Diversity, New York State Unified Court System, FDNY, NYPD, and Gap Inc.
