As the President of Palatial Publishing LLC, a certified M/WBE company, Kamla has spent over a decade transforming businesses through innovative solutions and strategic insight. Her work has made her a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs and executives across the region. Armed with a master’s degree in management with a concentration in Social Innovation and Entrepreneurship from St. Francis College, she merges academic excellence with hands-on expertise to help businesses achieve sustainable success.
Kamla’s far-reaching influence extends beyond the boardroom. As an award-winning author of eight books and the creator of a children’s video game featuring her beloved character, Peach the Duck, she has become a champion for literacy, embarking on a citywide tour across all five boroughs of New York City to inspire young readers. Her activism takes center stage through Got To Stop LLC, a fashion activism brand and social impact consulting firm that merges the arts with advocacy to address injustice and uplift marginalized communities. on the runway, in the classroom, or at a community event, Kamla uses every platform to speak truth, inspire change, and promote equity.
Kamla has received numerous honors for her work, including the Schneps Media ICON Award, Caribbean Impact Award, PowerList Award, PowerWomen Award, and the Dr. Roy Hastick Legacy Award, along with multiple citations and proclamations from elected officials.
An emcee of distinction, Kamla’s commanding presence has been sought for major public events, from 9/11 memorials to grand openings and international flag-raising ceremonies. Her multidimensional talents also include certifications as a fitness trainer and mobile notary, all while living a disciplined vegan lifestyle that reflects her holistic approach to life.
Born in St. Vincent and the Grenadines and rising from a modeling career that included appearances on BCD InStyle, Kamla has always carried herself with the strength, confidence, and grace that continue to define her success.
