Senator Patrick M. Gallivan (R-C-I, Elma) has identified more than $139,000 in state funds for three road projects in the Town of West Seneca.  The funding is part of New York’s Multi-Modal Program and was included in the state’s 2005 budget, but was never spent.

“These funds were originally designated for local roads in the Town of West Seneca and will finally be used as intended,” Gallivan said.  “Once my office learned these funds existed, we worked closely with Superintendent Sheila Meegan and Highway Superintendent Matt English to identify roads within the town in need of repair.”

Work will include complete milling and resurfacing of three separate roads within the town: 

• $74,200 to be used for Dorrance Avenue between Covington Drive and Onondaga Avenue
• $35,000 for Innes Road from Orchard Park Road to Ashmund Road
• $30,000 for Fairfax Drive between Orchard Park Road and Ashmund Road.

The West Seneca Highway Department will perform the work and will submit for reimbursement from the New York State Department of Transportation.  Work is expected to be done in spring or summer of 2016.
