
Ortt Delivers a Total of $55,000 for Educational Programming and Law Enforcement Services in Monroe County

Senator Secures Funds For Libraries, Law Enforcement and Canal Museum
Senator Rob Ortt (R,C,I – North Tonawanda) today delivered a combined $55,000 in state funding to support programs, services and public safety efforts in Monroe County. The funds were secured by Senator Ortt in the 2015-16 State Budget.
During a check presentation ceremony at the Seymour Library in the Village of Brockport, Senator Ortt handed out an oversized check to the Seymour Library in the amount of $20,000. The Ogden Farmers Library in the Town of Ogden received a check in the amount of $5,000. And, the Spencerport Deport and Canal Museum in the Village of Spencerport received $15,000 to help support educational programs about the history of the Erie Canal. Funds can be used to assist with educational services and programming, purchasing materials, renovations, operations, or events that serve the community.
Senator Ortt also presented checks to law enforcement in Monroe. The Brockport Police Department and Ogden Police Department received $5,000 each for anti-crime efforts. Additionally, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office also received $5,000 to help victims of domestic violence.
