Serino Highlights Importance of Local Libraries
WAPPINGERS FALLS, NY—In an effort to highlight the significant role local libraries play in the community, Senator Sue Serino is touring various libraries across her Senate District and engaging in their distinct programs. On Thursday, October 15, 2015, Senator Serino was at the Grinnell Public Library in Wappingers Falls to promote early literacy by reading to the children attending the library’s Neighborhood Daycare Reading Event.
Earlier this year, the Senator delivered $4,000 in education grant funding to the library. Senator Serino is pictured above with library staff (from left to right) Jessica Sherman (Library Director), Holly Roberts, Valerie Lovelett, Lindsay Beaumont, Audrey Willis and the children who attended the reading event.
