SENATOR JEFF KLEIN HOSTS A THREE KINGS CELEBRATION AT SACKWERN HOUSES AND CLASON POINT GARDENS

Bronx, NY – In celebration of the Feast of the Epiphany, State Senator Jeff Klein (D-Bronx/Westchester) hosted a Three Kings Celebration at Sackwern Houses and Clason Point Gardens. Residents enjoyed dinner, beverages, dessert, and holiday fun on Saturday.  Children in attendance received special toys, such as stuffed animals, toy cars, puzzles, sporting equipment, and board games.

“I am thrilled to host today’s festivities, which commemorate a special holiday for our friends, neighbors, and community members.  Today, we witnessed a tremendous display of community spirit as residents gathered to celebrate Three Kings Day,” said Senator Klein.  “I wish everyone health, joy, and prosperity in the New Year.”

Three Kings Day honors the biblical story of the three kings, also known as the three wise men, who followed the star of Bethlehem to bring gifts (gold, frankincense, and myrrh) to baby Jesus.

"This is a great event that services our children and provides them with a day of fun.  We are always thankful to Senator Klein for all the programs and events he brings to our development,” said Loretta Masterson, president of the Sackwern Houses Residents Association.

“I would like to thank Senator Klein for inviting the children of Clason Point Gardens to enjoy this event.  Senator Klein has done so much already to give our residents a good quality of life,”

said Geraldine Hopper, president of Clason Point Tenants Association.
