New York State Senate Teachers of Excellence Award Program
March 8, 2016
State Senator John A. DeFrancisco is once again participating in the New York State Senate Teachers of Excellence award program. Senator DeFrancisco is asking school superintendents, principals and faculty members to nominate an educator who they feel is deserving of recognition for the New York State Senate “Teacher of Excellence” Award.
Each day, our teachers are working hard to provide their students with the tools they need to succeed in life. Teachers who are nominated should have a history of going above and beyond to inspire their students, and are devoted to improving the quality of education in their classroom, through innovative and exceptional teaching.
Based on nominations from administrators and faculty, we will select a maximum of one elementary, middle school, and high school teacher from each school district and present him or her with the Teacher of Excellence award and a golden apple pin. Please help me honor and celebrate the exceptional skills and dedication of so many of our teachers by nominating a teacher through the attached form. Thank you.
