Senator Serrano Recognizes Honorees During Council Member Gibson's Hispanic Heritage Month Event

Senator Serrano assisted Council Member Vanessa Gibson in honoring some outstanding Bronx citizens at her Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration. The Honorees consisted of many people and organizations that have made various contributions to the community. Senator Serrano provided the honorees with New York State Senate proclamations celebrating their contributions to society.
"Hispanic heritage and culture plays a huge role in our everyday lives. October is the time that we honor the contributions that Hispanic men and women have made to our communities. I would like to congratulate Filomena Acevedo, Cecilia Gaston, Ramon Garcia, Latino Pastoral Action Center, Oswaldo Rodriguez and Luis Torres on their achievements.
