SENATOR GOLDEN TO LEAD COMMUNITY LUNAR NEW YEAR CELEBRATION OF THE YEAR OF THE MONKEY

Brooklyn- Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, Brooklyn) together with the Chinese American Partnership Inc., is today inviting the community to join in celebrating the Lunar New Year (4714), the Year of the Monkey, at his annual celebration, on Sunday, March 6, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at New Utrecht High School, located at 1601-80th Street in Brooklyn.  

The celebration will include cultural presentations including the Lion Dance, Kung Fu and Tai Chi Martial Arts, Chinese opera, singing, dancing, and community information.  The Board of Elections will also be in attendance conducting a voter registration drive.

The celebration is being sponsored by more than twenty local business and individuals. Fortune bags and “Joy, Peace and Prosperity” Golden charms will be distributed to all guests. Admission is free to all.
