Senator Mike Nozzolio recently met with Nancy Zimpher, Chancellor of the State University of New York, at the State Capitol.  Chancellor Zimpher, SUNY representatives and staff were advocating on behalf of the “Stand with SUNY- Support New York's Educational Priority” program.  

As part of the initiative, Chancellor Zimpher presented Senator Nozzolio with a pair of SUNY logo socks to show his support as an alumni legislator on “Stand With SUNY” day.

“Providing New Yorkers with access to a college education is of the utmost importance. We must do all possible to assist those wishing to pursue a higher education degree,” said Senator Nozzolio. “It was a pleasure to speak with Chancellor Zimpher and to discuss our shared support for maximizing New York State’s investment in SUNY.”
