RITCHIE RECOGNIZES TWO-TIME STATE CHAMPS HEUVELTON LADY BULLDOGS
June 3, 2016
State Senator Patty Ritchie visited Heuvelton Central School recently, to honor the two-time State Championship Heuvelton Lady Bulldogs basketball team.
Earlier this year, the Lady Bulldogs defeated Panama 62-60 to take home the Class D championship.
“To become state champs one time is an amazing feat, but to do it two times in a row is almost unheard of,” said Senator Ritchie.
“As an alumni of Heuvelton, I couldn’t be happier about the success of the Lady Bulldogs, and thank the team for their hard work and dedication, which has made our entire community so very proud.”
During her visit, Senator Ritchie presented the team with an official Senate Resolution honoring them for their achievements, as well as hats that read “2015-16 State Champs.”
