As part of Advocacy Day in Albany, Senator Ortt spoke at a Friends of Recovery-New York (FOR-NY) rally for hundreds of people who have been influenced by drugs and alcohol. FOR-NY was urging lawmakers to consider spending $50 million in programs for people struggling with addiction. As a co-chair of the Senate Task Force on Heroin and Opioid Addiction, Senator Ortt said he would continue to work to find solutions to help end the epidemic, enhance treatment options and crack down on drug dealers.
