(Albany, NY) -- Senator David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester) announced the Senate has passed his bill S886, which will allow Sabrina Charles-Pierre to serve her full term on the East Ramapo School Board. This action will uphold the will of the community despite procedural errors with certain oath of office requirements.
"Sabrina Charles-Pierre is a tireless advocate for all children of East Ramapo and I am happy we have taken the first step toward restoring her term on the board. I look forward to working with Assemblymembers Jaffee and Zebrowski to pass this in the Assembly and get it to the Governors desk as soon as possible.
The bill passed 59-0.
