Ritchie, Canadian Officials Talk Working Together To Strengthen Economies
March 24, 2017
State Senator Patty Ritchie met recently with Canadian officials recently to discuss ways the two countries can work together to strengthen economies on both sides of the border.
Joining Senator Ritchie at the meeting were representatives of Ontario and Quebec. Ritchie’s welcoming them to the Capitol builds upon her other efforts to strengthen the relationship between New York State and Canada. Earlier this year, Senator Ritchie traveled to Canada’s capital to testify before the Canadian Parliament’s Senate Defense and Security Committee in support of a measure that would ease stringent reporting requirements for boaters and in turn, improve tourism and relations between both nations.
