Senator Todd Kaminsky presented a surprise proclamation to Rony Kessler, a Franklin Square resident, for raising awareness in the fight against Bladder Cancer.  Rony was shocked to find out that he had bladder cancer as it was discovered in an annual medical visit.  He wants to bring awareness to the public as it easily treatable if discovered at an early stage. Rony along with his wife, Ana have become ambassadors for the Bladder Cancer Awareness Network. In May 2017 the Kessler's along with many family and friends, participated in a walk sponsored by the Central Nassau County Rotary Foundation, raised over $50,000 for the cause the second largest in the nation.
