Hoylman Named Chair of Judiciary Committee

ALBANY- Senator Brad Hoylman (D/WF-Manhattan) released the following statement in response to his selection as Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee for the 2019 Legislative Session:
Senator Hoylman said: “The issue of equal access to justice and judicial independence couldn’t be more important as Trump continues his all-out assault on our court system. I’m extremely honored to have been named Chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee by incoming Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins and to help lead the charge to protect the rights of all New Yorkers.”
Incoming Senate Democratic Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins said: “Senator Brad Hoylman is an outstanding legislator and a dedicated public servant. I was pleased to appoint Brad as the next Chair of the Senate’s Judiciary Committee because I know he has the expertise and commitment to move our state forward.”
