“Once again, my colleague and I in the Senate are leading the charge to create a more affordable New York for our state’s middle class,” said Sen. Ortt. “The passage of Monday’s tax relief package demonstrates my commitment to creating an environment where hard-working New Yorkers can succeed, raise a family and eventually retire. While the Governor and the Assembly Majority continually talk about helping New York’s middle class, their silence on middle class tax cuts and regulatory relief for small businesses - coupled with negligent spending priorities - are deeply telling. If we're to reverse our state’s record out-migration numbers, this is where the Governor and Assembly Majority can start.”
