Today, Sen. Rob Ortt (R,C,I,Ref-North Tonawanda) presented North Tonawanda Public Library Director, Kevin Wall, with $25,000 in funding for use toward updating the library’s technological resources. Thanks to these funds, the library will now be able to purchase upwards of 20 new computers for public usage.
“In this ever-changing and digitalized world, access to technology has become paramount if one wishes to stay informed and connected,” said Sen. Ortt. “Because not everyone is fortunate enough to have access to a computer at their own home, it is important for public facilities such as the local library to have these resources. Whether it be a student doing research for a class project, or an older adult checking their email, these new computers will allow all residents to keep connected to the rapidly moving world around them.”
