NEW YORK CITY – Earlier today, a 60-year-old woman in Midtown was killed after being struck by a piece of debris falling from a building at 729 7th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
In response, Senator Brad Hoylman—who represents the location of this horrific tragedy—issued the following statement:
“What an enormous and heartbreaking tragedy. My condolences go out to the family and loved ones of the individual who lost her life today.
“As we wait for the facts to come in, it’s important to remember that many accidental deaths are preventable. If there was any wrongdoing in this case, those responsible must be held to account to the fullest extent of the law.”
