President Trump's elimination of the SALT deduction in NYS has cost Westchester and Rockland homeowners thousands of dollars a year. We pay the highest property taxes in the nation, and Trump is crippling our economy and taking money from hardworking people's pockets. At the State level, we have worked to offset the impact by making the property tax cap permanent and offering additional middle class tax cuts. I applaud U.S. Senator Schumer's fight to retain our SALT deduction and bring a vote to overturn this devastating IRS rule. Its time New York stop being under attack by the Trump administration."
