Statement from Senate Jim Tedisco (R,C,I,REF-Glenville) on St. Clare’s Hospital Pensioners Lawsuit
Senator Jim Tedisco
September 10, 2019
“I was proud to stand with today on the Schenectady Courthouse steps and am very supportive of the legal action taken on behalf of the 1,100 St. Clare's retirees who deserve justice and a full investigation by the state to determine what happened to the pension they worked so hard for and to help find a way to make them whole.”
“I wrote last November to the Governor and followed up with letters to Comptroller Tom DiNapoli and Attorney General Tish James. The Comptroller replied and I commend the AG for her efforts to look into what happened to the money but have heard nothing from the owner of NYS License Plate #1.”
“Meanwhile, last time anyone publicly asked our Governor about the St. Clare’s retirees, he had no idea what the reporter was talking about. That’s what happens when your preoccupied with forcing millions of New Yorkers to pay up to $45 for his new license plates and you become hyper-focused on downstate NYC quality of life issues.”
“The St. Clare’s retirees deserve justice and they deserve it now!”
