Statement From Senate Deputy Leader Gianaris On Impeachment

ASTORIA, N.Y. – Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris issued the following statement following Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement of an impeachment inquiry into President Donald Trump.

“I have long believed Donald Trump’s historically corrupt conduct justifies his impeachment. Today’s announcement demonstrates the United States Congress is taking the President’s behavior seriously and I am glad the Speaker is beginning this process.”

Senator Gianaris called for the impeachment of the President during an episode of the “Sorry Not Sorry” podcast hosted by Alyssa Milano.
