NEW YORK -- In the midst of the second wave of COVID-19 hitting New York City, the New York Young Republican plan to host their annual gala indoors on Thursday, December 3 at the Women’s National Republican Club in Midtown. The event features former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and James O’Keefe as speakers and advertises an open bar.
Senator Hoylman said: “Exactly a week after so many of us made the sacrifice of an in-person gathering with family and loved ones on Thanksgiving to stop the spread of COVID, the New York Young Republicans are setting the stage for a superspreader event in my district. This is a public health disaster in the making, and the organizers and the Women’s National Republican Club should be ashamed for putting New Yorkers’ lives at risk. The event should be cancelled immediately. ”
