I strongly advocated for the testing site in Spring Valley and was in contact with the Governor's office about the dire situation in our community. When the Governor announced the Northwell partnership, I knew Spring Valley needed to be apart of that initiative so I am pleased the Governor's office helped make our request a reality. We know communities of color have been impacted disproportionately by COVID-19, which is why I took action in Spring Valley where we are seeing the highest death toll in Rockland County. Only through testing and data can we control the spread of this virus and establish best practices for combating it in every community to save lives. We thank Governor Cuomo and every lawmaker who advocated for this needed site at the Martin Luther King Multi-Purpose Center. It was a team effort."
