- Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Just last month, we marked Ruth Bader Ginsburg's 27 years on the bench, and sadly, now on Rosh Hashanah, we are saying goodbye to the ultimate trailblazer and crusader for justice. Ginsburg was the first Jewish woman and second woman to be appointed to the U.S. Supreme Court. She championed the fight for gender equality and human rights, and never let anyone or any man stop her. The vacancy now on the Court could not come at a more consequential time. The Trump Administration will want to hurry a nomination through, but Americans deserve a Supreme Court Justice like Ginsburg who will make our country a more fair and just place for all to live."
