Griffo presents New York State Senate Empire Awards to Oneida County businesses

New York State Senate Deputy Minority Leader Joseph Griffo, R-I-C-Rome, recently visited several Oneida County businesses and presented them with New York State Senate Empire Awards. The awards recognize businesses who have shown a significant dedication to the growth and prosperity of the communities in which they are located, the Mohawk Valley and New York State.

“I greatly enjoyed visiting these businesses and presenting them with Empire Awards,” Deputy Minority Leader Griffo said. “These enterprises, and the many others like them, help to create jobs, spur economic growth and development and make significant contributions to the region and the state.”
During his time in the Senate, Deputy Minority Leader Griffo has advocated for and supported the needs of business owners and employers throughout his district and the state.
“We have to do more to improve New York's economic climate and make it more business friendly,” Deputy Minority Leader Griffo said. “This can be accomplished by lowering taxes and energy costs and reducing regulations. I will continue to be a strong voice in Albany for taking such action and for our businesses so that they can be successful in New York State.”
