ASTORIA – Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris is partnering with the Community Service Society of New York to provide a free webinar for those with student loans to learn about relief available and repayment options amid the covid-19 pandemic. The webinar takes place on Thursday, September 17 from 3:30 to 5:30 pm.

“The covid-19 pandemic has put the financial lives of millions in jeopardy. While we continue to fight for additional relief, I am pleased to work with the Community Service Society of New York to help people learn more about their options during this uncertain time,” said Senate Deputy Leader Michael Gianaris.

"Close to 2.4 million New Yorkers have student loan debt.  It is particularly important during these uncertain times to have a strategy when it comes to managing student debt,” said Carolina Rodriguez, Director Education Debt Consumer Assistance Program (EDCAP). “Learn how to take advantage of the options available to you during the webinar and reach out to us for free one-on-one counseling afterwards. We’re here to help!”
