New Yorkers want transparency, especially during a public health emergency of this magnitude. For nearly a year now though, there have been many unanswered questions when it comes to the handling of nursing homes during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is my hope that this investigation will deliver the clarity New Yorkers deserve.

In addition, we need to remember that behind all of the recent controversy are thousands of families who are still grieving following the loss of their loved ones in nursing homes. I am hopeful, for their sake, we will soon have the full truth.
