Senator Ryan Announces Holiday Toy Drive

State Senator Christopher J. Ryan (SD-50) today announced that he is partnering with Toys for Tots to host a Holiday Toy Drive, beginning December 1 until December 12. The toy drive will conclude with a final collection and distribution event on December 13 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the East Syracuse Fire Department, 204 N. Center St., East Syracuse, NY.
 
“The holidays should be a season of joy for every family,” said Senator Ryan. “With household budgets stretched thin this year, parents are doing everything they can to keep the magic alive for their kids. Every child deserves moments of celebration, wonder, and belonging. I’m grateful we could team up with Toys for Tots and the SU Women’s Basketball Team to help lift some of that burden and spread a little more joy across our community. This is what coming together as a community is all about.”
 
Collection boxes have been placed at community spaces and businesses across Senate District 50. The locations include:

  • Gorham Brothers Music - 712 W Manlius St., East Syracuse, NY 
  • Pacale’s Wine and Liquors - 7401 Oswego Rd., Liverpool, NY
  • Onondaga County Water Authority - 200 Northern Concourse, Syracuse, NY 
  • Northern Onondaga Public Library, North Syracuse Branch - 100 Trolley Barn Ln., North Syracuse, NY 
  • East Syracuse Public Library - 4990 James St., East Syracuse, NY
  • Community Library of Jamesville & DeWitt - 5110 Jamesville Rd., Jamesville, NY
  • Liverpool Public Library - 310 Tulip St., Liverpool, NY
  • Manlius Public Library - 1 Arkie Albanese Ave., Manlius, NY
  • Maxwell Memorial Library - 14 W. Genesee St., Camillus, NY
  • Salina Free Library - 100 Belmont St., Mattydale, NY
  • Solvay Public Library - 615 Woods Rd., Solvay, NY
     
In addition, the Syracuse University Women’s Basketball Team will be collecting donations at their home games on December 3 and December 10 at the JMA Wireless Dome.
