“I am pleased to learn that the Onondaga County Industrial Development Agency (OCIDA) has today accepted Micron Technology’s Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS) for its $100 billion project in Clay. This milestone brings us one step closer to realizing a transformative investment in our region—one that promises good-paying jobs, economic development, and a future for Central New York that benefits all.

From the outset, I have emphasized that any development of this magnitude must deliver for the people of our region: from the workers who will build and operate the facility, to the neighborhoods whose quality of life must be protected, to the small businesses positioned to benefit from new economic activity. The thorough review process represented by the FEIS confirms that we are proceeding with full transparency, accountability and respect for our environment and our community.

I applaud the work of the agencies, stakeholders, and community members who participated in the review and asked critical questions. I look forward to working with Micron, local, state and federal agencies, labor partners, and my constituents to make sure this investment truly delivers for the people of Clay, all of Senate District 50, and our entire region.”
