Senator Dan Stec (R.C-Queensbury) today honored the Tupper Lake Lions Club for its recent 90th anniversary. Stec presented an official Senate proclamation to past Lions Club president Stuart Nichols in Tupper Lake Village Hall, where he was joined by Tupper Lake Mayor Mary Fontana and Town Supervisor Rick Dattola.

The senator appreciated having the opportunity to recognize the longest-serving Lions Club in Northern New York and its continued fulfillment of Helen Keller’s mission statement for the organization to serve as “knights of the blind.”

“For 90 years, the Tupper Lake Lions Club has been a leader in community service and fostering the values of our region,” said Stec. “As of today, the organization boasts its largest membership in decades and continues to inspire and get involved in helping others. I was glad to be able to recognize the Tupper Lake Lions Club for its 90th anniversary and celebrate it for all it has done, and for all it continues to do.”
