“Earlier this week, in the New York State Senate, we recognized the contributions of the Sikh community in New York and across the globe with Senate Resolution No. 569. While we continue to celebrate the many contributions of the Sikh community, I did not sign on to this resolution and do not subscribe to how the events of 1984 were portrayed by the senate sponsor.”
