
Senator Lea Webb Announces $150,000 in State Funding to the Town of Cortlandville

(Cortland, NY) – Today, Senator Lea Webb (SD-52) announced that she has secured $150,000 in state funding for the Town of Cortlandville. The funding awarded through the NY Senate’s Community Resiliency, Economic Sustainability, and Technology Program (CREST) will support renovations and improvements to the Raymond G. Thorpe Municipal Building.
“Securing $150,000 in state funding for the Town of Cortlandville Municipal Building is a direct investment in the heart of this community,” said Senator Lea Webb. “This funding will help improve the infrastructure that supports essential town services, ensures smoother operations, and creates a welcoming space for the community. I’m grateful to work alongside local leaders to make sure Cortlandville has the support it needs to grow and serve its residents well.”
Said Town Supervisor of the Town of Cortlandville, Gregory K. Leach, “We are deeply grateful to Senator Webb for her continued support of the Town of Cortlandville’s efforts to enhance community resilience and public safety. The $150,000 award through the CREST Program will allow us to move forward with critical improvements to the Raymond G. Thorpe Municipal Building, including a secure vestibule and upgraded building security. These enhancements will provide a safer, more welcoming environment for our residents and staff.”
