Senator Lea Webb Delivers $500,000 to Broome to Support Tourism and Economic Development in the Southern Tier

(Endicott, NY) – Today, Senator Lea Webb (SD-52) announced the allocation of $500,000 through the FY26 New York State Budget for the Broome County Community Charities, Inc. in support of the Broome County Professional Golf Tournament known as the DICK’S Open. This investment will support economic development, tourism, and community impact for the Southern Tier. 

The DICK’S Open is operated by the Broome County Community Charities, Inc. (BCCC) and has donated over $21 million to local charities. Each year, the event attracts more than 75,000 attendees from both near and far and generates over $16.2 million in economic impact for the region. This funding will allow BCCC to continue the good work they are doing for generations to come.
