October 3, 2025

(Cortland, NY) - On Tuesday, September 30th, Senator Lea Webb hosted a Community Health Resource Fair in Cortland at the Cortland County Office Building Gymnasium. The fair brought together community organizations focused on health and wellness to provide the public with information regarding the resources available to their families.
“The Cortland County Health Fair is a meaningful way to connect residents with the care and support they deserve,” said Senator Lea Webb. “Too many families in our region face real challenges accessing health services, whether it’s mental health care, nutrition assistance, or preventive screenings. By bringing trusted local organizations together under one roof, we make it easier for people to get help, ask questions, and take steps toward better health. This kind of outreach is essential to building a healthier, more informed, and more equitable community.”
Said Seven Valley’s Health Coalition executive director Jackie Cooper, “Seven Valleys Health Coalition is excited to partner with Senator Webb and to share our resources with Cortland County residents at the health fair, including doula services for birthing and postpartum parents, support for Medicaid members, food system work, and 2-1-1 Cortland. With a variety of organizations and resources in the county, it is important for residents to understand what services are available and how best to access assistance. As Senator Webb serves as Chair of the Women's Issues Committee in the Senate, we appreciate her focus on maternal health and overall commitment to health equity."
"Being part of Senator Webb's Cortland County Health Resource Fair allows us to meet people where they are and share tools that can make a real difference." Said Felicity Gomer, Director of Public Communications for Family Planning of South-Central New York
Senator Webb’s constituent services team was on hand to assist community members with an array of issues, such as unemployment, health insurance, EBT\WIC\SNAP, and more.
Organizations taking part in the event included the Comptroller’s Office, Cortland County Health Department, Seven Valleys Health Coalition, YWCA Cortland, Cortland Guthrie, CAPCO, Access to Independence, Adult Services - DSS, Cortland County Mental Health Department, LGBTQ Center, Racker Center, Family Health Network, Speak-Up Cortland, United Way Cortland, Family Planning of South-Central NY, Child Advocacy Center, Cortland YMCA, Doula Partnership, and Family & Children's Services
