Senator Lea Webb Invites Students to Participate in Her 2025 Thanksgiving Day Celebration Program

(Southern Tier, NY) — Senator Lea Webb is excited to announce the launch of her 2025 Thanksgiving Day Celebration Program, an initiative that encourages young people to reflect on gratitude and the meaning of Thanksgiving through creative expression.

The program invites students from kindergarten through 12th grade across New York’s 52nd Senate District to submit original essays, poetry, or artwork centered on this year’s theme: “What are you thankful for?”

“Gratitude helps us see the good in our lives and in each other,” said Senator Lea Webb. “By inviting students to share what they’re thankful for, we’re giving them the space to express themselves and celebrate what matters most to them. I’m always inspired by the honesty and imagination young people bring to this program.”

All participating students will receive a personalized certificate of recognition signed by Senator Webb, honoring their creativity and contributions. In addition, all submissions will be published on Senator Webb’s official website.

How to Participate:

Submissions must be submitted electronically in JPEG or PDF format by November 21, 2025. Students, educators, and families can find the submission link at: webb.nysenate.gov
