Senator Pam Helming to Host Community Blood Drive on August 25th

Senator Helming

CANANDAIGUA, NEW YORK – Senator Pam Helming is encouraging residents to give the gift of life by participating in her upcoming community blood drive, taking place on Monday, August 25th from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at American Legion Post 256 in Canandaigua.

“Every donation has the power to save up to three lives,” said Senator Helming. “Blood donations are urgently needed which is why I am partnering with the American Red Cross and our local American Legion to address this shortage. This is a great opportunity for everyone who is eligible to donate to make a positive difference. Make an appointment today and help save a life.”

The Red Cross is experiencing an ongoing need for blood, especially during summer months when donations often decline. All eligible donors are encouraged to sign up in advance.

To schedule an appointment, please call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit redcrossblood.org and enter sponsor code: AmericanLegion256

Walk-ins are generally accepted; however, appointments are always the priority which could result in a wait time.
